Ramakrishna Abhedananda Mission

Ramakrishna Abhedananda Mission, (Kumarghat Branch) is a branch of Ramakrishna Vedanta Math and it is in Kumarghat, Unakoti District, Tripura, PIN- 799 264. Though it is a religious group of missions, we work as an NGO for the welfare of society. We have various multifarious activities that we run throughout the year. We are a registered organization sincerely dedicated to the well-being of poor and needy students of 8 districts of Tripura and some adjacent districts of Assam.

Ramkrishna Abhedananda Mission, a branch of Ramkrishna Vedanta Math, is located in Kumarghat, in Unakoti district, Tripura. Though it is a religious group, it focuses on helping the underprivileged. This registered NGO organizes various activities throughout the year to achieve the goal of social welfare.

In 2000, Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan Deb donated 2.39 acres of land and created a trust fund called the Swami Vireshwarananda Smriti Scholarship Fund to support the needy and poor students . One of the organisation’s signature events is the annual Yuvo Sammelan. It is held to inspire the youth to follow the path shown by Swami Vivekananda. On this day, local students, who have passed the class X and XII with 1st division marks, are felicitated.


The mission of Ramakrishna Abhedananda Mission is to promote education through our activities as we are here for the welfare of orphans and to help them and poor students in their every need.


We are here to settle down the orphans in life and to bring sustainable development through livelihood programs within a dignified manner which will help them to be a complete man.


To meet the physical, mental, emotional needs of orphan children by providing them with love, care, nourishment, guidance, and education so that they can grow to be valued members of society.

Children’s Home

Ramakrishna Abhedananda Mission is a renowned name in the area of Kumarghat, Tripura where people come mainly for spiritual works but from this Mission, we run an Orphan Home. Here, about 47 residents live in our Home. Boys from the age group of 6-18 come to us and from our side, we try to take care of them through our various Home facilities. Not only food and lodging but also they get primary or secondary education from nearby schools absolutely free of cost. Residents come to our Home from special recommendation by higher Govt Officials like the District Magistrate or Local Police Station.
